2 Blossoms

Hello Friends,

We have a small cactus, perhaps two feet tall, in our front yard that a few times each year provides lovely translucent blossoms, these its most recent. I set a wooden frame around it, shot with my Google Pixel 9 Pro phone cha-cha style, and processed the images in StereoPhoto Maker into a phantogram and masked out the wooden frame in Photoshop.

On a happy note, I was recently contacted by Melissa Daniels, a young woman in the vision therapy field involved principally with treating strabismus. Her website is at https://strabismussolutions.com. Per an online search strabismus is defined as "an eye condition where the eyes do not line up together. One eye looks at one place, while the other eye turns inward, outward, upward, or downward. It is commonly known as a 'crossed eye' or a 'squint'."

Several years ago for one afternoon I had a table at a College of Optometrists in Vision Development (COVD) convention. COVD is an international non-profit group for eye care professionals. On that afternoon I quickly sold every book I brought, and have since sold books to some of the doctors and therapist there. Melissa tells me she's found my books to be an excellent tool for getting her clients to learn to develop stereoscopic vision, and has started to promote their use, which has created a flurry of book orders. I'm still waiting to hear reviews from new users, but I'm thrilled to see my books being used for not just for entertainment but to help people attain 3D vision. I'll let you know more as I learn more about how they're doing.

We're in Seattle as I write this. Tomorrow we'll be attending the memorial of a dear friend. It's a time of reflection, mourning, and celebrating a well live life. I feel that the same applies to our country, what it is, what it's been, and for the moment what it's become.
