Pinyon Pine
Hello Friends,
I took this shot at the Santa Fe Botanical Garden in Santa Fe, New Mexico last weekend with my Panasonic Lumix GX7 with 3D lens, using frame sides for phantogram processing. Since the pine needles extended over my frame I did some masking to eliminate the frame and provide this thru-the-window effect.
It's been such a hellish week of war news and politics that I don't know where to start or end my commentary.
In so many ways our current administration is driving this country into an abyss so deep and dark that it will take at least a generation to undo the damage they've done and will continue to do. At every turn we see them pushing fossil fuels, pollution of the environment, endless grift and greed, unrestrained secret police mistreatment of both immigrants and citizens, unChristian nationalism, authoritarian rule, and now a war based on video game sensibilites that's causing pain and turmoil to the entire world.
Having a "clown car cabinet" isn't a good joke any more. The whole world is affected, and no one is laughing.
Wishing for better,
Barry Rothstein
