Coneflower
Hello Friends,
Per Wikipedia, Echinacea is a genus of herbaceous flowering plants in the daisy family. It has ten species, which are commonly called coneflowers. They are native only in eastern and central North America, where they grow in wet to dry prairies and open wooded areas. My sister swears by echinacea, whenever she feels a cold coming on she pops a mega-dose of it, and claims it keeps her healthy.
I found this one and many more of its kind last week hiking at the Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge near the Minneapolis Saint Paul airport. It was shot with a Panasonic Lumix GX7 with 3-D lens, using frame sides for phantogram processing, and processed in StereoPhoto Maker and Photoshop.
Hello to new friends I made at the recent 2025 National Stereoscopic Association's 3D-Con. I'm happy to be heading tomorrow to the Netherlands to attend the https://2025.isu3d.org/ 25th ISU World Congress in Wageningen. We've never been to the Netherlands, so greatly looking forward to it.
When horrible stuff is happining here and abroad, I don't think I'm entirely being paranoid wondering if what I've written and am writing will come to cost me. What I'm wondering about it is if I've made it yet onto a "list" from our current administration. We're due back on Sept 2. If you don't see an image of the week for September 6, first check your spam box, and after that maybe email me to ask if I've made it home OK.
Regards,
Barry Rothstein
