Bread Crumbs - A Simple Life Hack
Hello Friends,
I'm a good cook, and as a young man worked as a cook. My cooking can range between simple and complex. I usually prefer simple, and so I thought I'd share with you the simplist recipe I know and use.
Ingredients: Raw chicken pieces and seasoned breadcrumbs
Directions:
1) Put some seasoned breadcrumbs into a plastic bag or bowl. Shake (in a plastic bag) or move around (in a bowl) effectively coating the chicken pieces.
2) Bake (350 degrees fahrenheit for an hour works or hotter for a shorter stretch).
Same can be done with beef, pork, fish, whatever. What I've learned is that by coating the meat in breadcrumbs before baking, the chicken retains much of its moisture, which is key to enjoyment. The outside is crispy and tasty, the inside soft and moist. If you want to be gluten free I'd suggest you substitute almond flour with some seasonings instead of breadcrumbs.
I wish life in general was so simple, but it's not. A little over a year into Trump's 4 year sentence for the rest of us, I'm falling a victim to TDS (Trump Derangement Syndrome). Some of my friends have successfully avoided the syndrome by carefully avoiding watching or listening to news, but I feel the need to at least in some way follow local, national and international goings on.
Our country elected Trump, not once, but twice, so we deserve the consequences of putting a baby into a position of extreme influence and power. To the rest of the world, I'm so sorry. You didn't vote him into office, but must like us suffer from the power we've afforded him.
Wishing for better,
Barry Rothstein
