Tom Koester has worked as an industry professional for over 30 years in the areas of cinematography, editing, sound mixing and special visual effects. He is also a short film maker with numerous awards over the years. Since 2004, he's been concentrating on digital 3-D video. His 3-D videos include: Plane Fancy, which received Honorable Mention at the 4th International 3-D Film & Video Competition (2005); Slow Glass, his first Hi Def 3-D video, a co-production with Writer/Director Ray Zone and the Stereo Club Of Southern California, which received 1st Place honors at the 5th International 3-D Film and Video Competition (2007); 2324 The Making of an Underground Rock Album, the first verite style feature documentary ever filmed with dual camera 3-D (Honorable Mention - 5th International 3-D Film and Video Competition); and The Towers of Simon Rodia, his second High Definition 3-D short (2nd Place Award 5th International 3-D Film and Video Competition). The ecently completed Whatever Happened to RoMan?, his second collaboration with Ray Zone, and The Ennis House, Tom’s second documentary on Los Angeles Historical Landmarks, were recently presented at the 6th Ever International 3-D Film and Video Competition.
