Born in Chicago, but having lived most of his life in southern California, Barry Rothstein has been an active stereographer since 2003, and is the current president of the Stereo Club of Southern California.
He is best known for his two self published books of photographic phantograms, "Phantograms from Nature, Western USA" (May 2005), and "Pop-Up 3D" (March 2007), and awaits a third book, "Eye-Popping 3D Pets" (Chronicle Books, fall 2009).
He became entralled with crossviewing as a way to freeview stereo images during the spring and summer of 2008, and decided it was time to offer a crossview book.
